Consultation

This is when we get to know each other. We'll have a chat, usually over the phone and we'll get an idea of your needs, timescales, the size of your project. I'll also ask you to do a little homework yourself (easy, we promise!). Then, if you're fairly nearby, You Interiors Friend will visit, measure up, take photos and chat about your homework. This will be about an hour long. Alternatively we'll consult either via Skype, over the phone and email.

We'll agree a cost for the project and off we go.

PInterest board

Your Interiors Friend spends time- hours- thinking, researching, planning and using experience and knowledge to put together a scheme that you will love and which fits the brief. This is all placed on to a private Pinterest board. The beauty of this is, of course, that you can add to this yourself at a later date if you choose. With the Pinterest App, you'll always have your scheme with you when you see the perfect lamp to double check it follows the right plan.

This is a really important element of the service that your receive from Your Interiors Friend.

To some, pictures on a page don't mean very much. How can you use a mood board? Each pin of your bespoke Pinterest board is explained and reasoned. Why we suggest things is as important as the suggestions themselves. This process can help you understand your own style and how to build up a successful scheme.

The initial phone chat is always free, a little like a two-way interview.

Once you're happy to proceed and we have the relevant information about the project, Your Interiors Friend can provide you with a more detailed quote. Costs vary depending upon the project scale and needs. As an approximation, a simple single room scheme could be anything from £1000, rising to £3000 or above for a more complex kitchen or bathroom decoration scheme. Added costs would be site visits in person, or shopping and procurement trips which are around £80 per hour. Other on-line sites do offer room schemes at really low prices. However, Your Interiors Friend doesn't like to rush things. Each project is unique. Each angle carefully considered. Each suggestion, fully explained and justified. To some, a mood board on its own without explanation is just, well, a collection of pretty pictures. Not that great a value if you don't know how to use it.

Remember, included is the price are all the hours and hours that Your Interiors Friend had spent researching and trawling the shops and websites for what the interiors world has to offer. We'll save you the hideous cost of an expensive mistake. And think of all of your time you'll be freeing up. Priceless.
